2014 Style Favorites

It has been so long since I have felt like blogging, let alone even had the time to! As is tradition, I thought I would do a little roundup of some of my favorite looks of 2014 to ring in the new year.  This year I tried out some new to me things like wearing overalls, trying some fun colored wigs, and even dying my hair pink!  I moved out from my little Boulder apartment and moved in with R for the first time in a cute new house in a new town.  It was my first year running my business full time.  I even ended the year with a stint working the holiday season delivering packages for UPS, which was as crazy as you may imagine, and why I had absolutely zero free time to blog lately!  Anyway, I hope you enjoy this little style recap.  Do you have a favorite?

I am currently home in New Jersey where I celebrated Christmas with my family, and will be ringing in the New Year tonight with friends.  I am also super excited for my best (and longest!) friend's wedding here on the second.  I then fly home for exactly a week before I leave for my next trip... to Hawaii! So yeah, life has been a bit hectic and crazy, but also full of adventure.  Cheers to all of you to a wonderful new year, can't wait to see what 2015 has in store!

Florence at Dusk

Our second to last stop on our Italian adventure was Florence, and we arrived right before dusk.  The balcony of the apartment we were renting was what dreams are made of, which is where the outfit shots were taken.  Unfortunately, I had my camera on the wrong setting when my mom was helping me snap some quick outfit photos up there, so most of them just came out as blurs.  The terra cotta rooftops were gorgeous though and you could even make out the Duomo in the background!
Outfit Details:
Sweatshirt: Marshalls
Dress - Vintage (in the shop here!)
Sneakers - New Balance
Beanie - Forever 21
Sunnies - Italian Street Vendor

We only had one full day there, so the evening we arrived, we scrambled across the river and up the hill to a gorgeous vantage point where you could see the whole city at dusk.  I'm glad we did, because the whole next day it was a torrential downpour as we attempted to explore the city, which turned into a grey sea accentuated by color umbrellas (on instagram here!)  We also got to see the statue of David, but I only had my phone camera with me because of the rain!

Last up on the adventure is possibly my favorite, Venice, so stay tuned!

Neon Neutrals

Hi guys! How are you doing?  I seriously miss you!  Just dropping in with a simple outfit I wore out to dinner and a movie a few weeks ago.  But let's be honest, I changed out of these heels immediately after these photos were taken!
Outfit Details
Top - thrifted
Jeans -H&M
Hat - Eddie Bauer
Heels - shoemint
Earrings - Charming Charlie

I have been living in these high waisted black jeans I picked up from H&M the other week, and the top is a recent thrift find.  The movie we saw was Big Hero 6, which I thought was really cute. Anyway, not to sound like a broken record, but my shop and seasonal job are keeping me so busy that I barely have time for anything else!  I hope you guys are having fun shopping for gifts and being merry!

When in Rome

Hi guys!  I'm back with another few snaps of my Italy trip last month, this time from Rome!

Inside the Colosseum.
Outside the Colosseum
Mom & Dad Strolling.
In Piazza Navona
The fountain of the four rivers
I loved their pretty hair!
Sightseeing from the top of a hop and hop off bus.
All the scooters all the time.
R and I near the entrance of the colosseum.

Anyway, posting will probably continue to be a bit sporadic until after the holiday season, as life and work are kind of kicking my butt right now!  I am so sorry I haven't been keeping up with your blogs either, I really do miss reading and catching up with you all, I just haven't had the time lately.  Hope you guys are having a wonderful start to the holiday season!

Happy Birthday to Me

Hi guys!
Creative post title, eh?  Anyway, today I am the big 2-8... Woah!
I'm not big with the birthday hooplah, but I am looking forward to after work today because we are ordering from a new east coast style pizza place that just opened up in our town and just having a cozy pizza and beer and present night in!  Also, I am wearing this pizza shirt I found on Etsy today, which was a birthday present to me from me.
Outfit Details:
Vintage Sweater - for sale in the shop here!
Hat - borrowed from R
Jeans - Volcom
Pineapple Shirt - Target
Shoes - H&M

Anyway, these were taken a few weeks back when my hair was pink again.  It has since washed out and because of a seasonal job I am working this month, it has to stay regular blonde until Christmas.  Oh yeah, I am also having a little birthday celebration sale in the shop right now if you are on the hunt for gifts or holiday outfits!  You can take 28% percent off with the code 'bday28' at checkout!
