Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!
Just wanted to share a few snaps of R and I as Catwoman and Batman.  We dressed up and went out on the town on Saturday night, and it was so fun! R loves Batman, and I got him this costume as part of his birthday present- check out those rippling abs ;)
The best part is that we kept running into other batman characters throughout the night who wanted us to join them and be in pictures! R even fought a band of Batman's enemies in the middle of Pearl Street, I so wish I had some videos!  These pictures were taken right before we headed out and the last three are just silly ones from my laptop camera! My costume was based off of Anne Hathaway's catwoman character in A Dark Night Rises, because I thought she kicked some major booty! I bought the black jumpsuit, but made all of my other accessories like the mask and ears.
Anyway, we aren't going out and celebrating again tonight.  With almost all of my family and friends back on the East coast being affected by Hurricane Sandy, the mood seems a bit more somber than celebratory.  Everybody is safe, but most are still without power and a whole lot of property and places from where I grew up have been destroyed.  I hope all of you are safe and sound!  I plan on having a low key night in with a pumpkin ale, carving my pumpkin and roasting the seeds to snack on.  If you guys posted pictures of your costumes, leave a link in the comments I would love to see them!

  2. You guys look amazing, and that's hilarious about running into other Batman characters. I would have loved to see the fight! :)

I should probably check in with East Coast friends too; that's really a shame about the places from your childhood..

  3. you are seriously the best girlfriend ever, giving batman costumes as birthday gifts! And I was a cat too, just admittedly way less sexier haha. My best friend Tom got a black cat two weeks ago...and then gave it back to the pound 20 hours later. So I dressed up as it for Halloween haha

  18. How freaking cute! Your costumes came out terrific. I love that you went as Anne Hathaway's Cat Woman. She's definitely my favorite!

I'm sorry to hear about your childhood landmarks being destroyed by the superstorm. That's so sad. But I am glad your friends and family are okay.

I only have two friends living in NYC (one in Queens and the other Manhattan) and fortunately, they both happened to live in neighborhoods that were virtually unaffected. Thank god.

  22. Hannah! Hunter and I were Batman and Poison Ivy! We met a couple other Batmans that night, and the villian from the latest movie (Bane? Vane? whatever his name is). I got a couple sweet pictures of them fake-fighting. My Batman also danced to "Thriller" and the Wop so I got some fun videos! Love both of your costumes, you make a fierce Catwoman!!

    here's our costumes: http://perfectlypriya.blogspot.com/2012/11/a-little-more-halloween.html

Hunter's costume is not quite as legit as your hubby's because we just made it at my house (that's my thick yellow belt :)
