Just wanted to share a quick little outfit I wore this Saturday for
riding our bikes for coffee and quiche! Yum. I love coffee on Saturday
mornings because, as opposed to a weekday, you can really just sit and
enjoy it instead of using it just as an energy source to get you through
the morning. Ya know what I mean?
Outfit Details:
Tank: Ross
Skirt: Vintage, for sale in my shop
Sandals: Gift from mom
Anyway, I had a nice weekend and got my mix of shop work and relaxing. I am really going to try to do a big shop update every other week on here. It is long overdue! How do you guys manage to stay motivated all day, especially if you work full time and then need to do something else after work? I have so many plans and ambitions in the morning, and by the time I get off work, I don't want to do anything else! This specifically effects my shop, and trying to eat healthy. I pack well balanced meals for work all day, but at around 3pm all I can think of is junk food and watching netflix when I get home. I am going on a vacation in August and have to get that svelte beach bod, which doesn't mix well with burritos, fries, and milkshakes unfortunately!
Alright, back to work for me. If you guys have healthy eating tips and tricks for staying on track I would love to hear them! Or just any advice for staying motivated throughout a long work day! Hope you guys had a great weekend and are having a good start to you week!
xo Hannah
i know exactly what you mean about the coffee. i'm enjoying it this summer instead of relying on it like i do at school. love the graphic tee with the floral skirt
ReplyDeletegirl, preaching the the choir. I always get out of bed in a flurry of ambitions, and by the time i'm on the bus back home all i wanna do is surround myself with cookies and watch mindless tv. i think the trick is to go STRAIGHT to the side project you're working on right after work. no break in between! but that sounds pretty brutal haha. On a less depressing note, love your look! especially that skirt; i really like how you paired it with a tee. super cute :)
ReplyDeleteI know exactly how you feel, my summer job starts super early and finishes at 3 so I always have grand ambitions for the rest of the day but then end up just sitting on the internet when I get home... Foodwise, I try to have tea quite early so I avoid having a ton of snacks beforehand! I love your outfit and the swing bench. :)

Great photos! Love the lavender. And the sandals. Your mom has good taste.

Lovely skirt! And it's so true, the atmosphere around Saturday morning coffee is completely different from that of a weekday.
ReplyDeleteIf you'd like some advice, though, maybe try to pack yourself a snack for that 3 o'clock break. Something that balances healthy fats with the more enjoyable, like: almonds and cashews (or pecans and walnuts) with chocolate chips; or banana and apple with peanut butter/almond butter. Both are really yummy snacks. I wouldn't do the apple alone, because its majority consists of water, but the density of the banana is quite filling and the sweetness of it is nice. :)
What a great weekend you had! I like this wonderful, but yet a bit edgy look. Cool combo of romantic, feminine skirt with cool T-shirt.

First of all what a gorgeous print of your skirt!
ReplyDeleteOn energy levels, food and exercise is so important (i had a similar thing to you when I was living in London and working in finance). I began eating all natural (and mostly organic) and my whole body and energy levels changed. Porridge with nuts and banana in the morning is a must!
xx
That is one pretty skirt!
ReplyDeletexoxo Mama Wolf.
i wish i had tips! i'm exactly the same way--i wake up full of the best intentions, but after 8 hours in an air-conditioned office i just want to bum around after work. i must say, though, when i do go to the gym after work i feel much more energized and don't usually want to watch bad tv when i get home!
ReplyDeleteNice photos you have here! I love your tank top. X
ReplyDeletethanks for the comment! im so jealous of your yellow house and the porch and the flowers and bench swing! perfect!
ReplyDeleteI feel a little ill-equipped for giving tips when my wedding is 8 weeks away and I've fallen off the healthy wagon!! But I generally find it's all about momentum and organisation. I usually establish set days for exercise - say three times a week - rather than just saying I'll exercise on 3 random days a week...that way there's no way of postponing it.And I also find that making up a tick box system helps too.. it sounds a little juvenile :) But just having something to answer to regarding your goals - even if it's just ticking a box on a calendar - gives you a small sense of achievement. Anyway...your outfit is really lovely here..I really like the slightly grungy teeshirt with the lovely feminine floral skirt!
ReplyDeleteI love quiche! <3333 And I also love your photos! They're amazing. (:

ReplyDeleteYou literally just summarized my life. Every morning starts with the best of intentions...but they mostly die by the end of the day. Sometime I try to get up early and get some things done...but who wants to get up early?? It's a losing situation all around.
Lovely! Nice skirt! <3

I wish I had the answer to that. At home, I really cook as healthy as possible ... but it's the going out and about that does me in. When I worked full time, I used to get up at 4:30 just to get things done (and pack a healthy lunch), but that's not really the most pleasant thing in the world - I will say though, you get used to it after awhile (as long as you get to bed early enough). As far as eating healthy goes, I try to limit myself to one "junk food item" a day. This way I am not depriving my sweet tooth (or fried tooth for that matter) but I am still not overdoing it.
ReplyDeleteThat skirt is so pretty Hannah - the purple and green print just does it for me:) Is that your house in the background? It's picture perfect! xx Marisa
Love your style! That skirt is absolutely gorgeous, and love how you styled it with the graphic tank! And totally hear ya on the motivation thing...all I want to do when I'm done with work is sit on the porch or the couch with a nice glass of wine :)

We always like to compare the ladies with flowers because there are both so beautiful and full of nature style! So if you can check the Ladies black leather Platform Shoes on http://www.cwmalls.com that's really do me a favor!
