Happy Friday! I hope all of you in the U.S. have off work today, but
unfortunately I am stuck here! I had a great day off for the 4th
yesterday though so working today isn't too bad. What did you guys do
to celebrate America's birthday?
Outfit Details: Dress & Scarf - Vintage // Sandals - BC Footwear
R and I went to an awesome food truck party on Wednesday night to start off the holiday right. We mixed up some tasty mojitos and then walked to get some Mexican food truck dinner and and cupcakes from a dessert truck too! Yesterday we had a really low key 4th, grabbing a picnic lunch from a little grocery store in this little adorable town above and then heading into the mountains to eat and lunge by the creek. It rained a little but but we made a makeshift sheet tent and waited for the sunshine to return. We then headed back to drink a few beers, make a pizza, and bake some chocolate chip cookies to finish off the night! So yeah, we rang in America's birthday with lots of delicious junk food, which is pretty appropriate right?
Any plans for the weekend? I know this is a big camping and mini holiday weekend for a lot of people, but my plan is to avoid the crowds and enjoy my first weekend at my new apartment. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
xo Hannah
p.s. I will leave you with this gem. If you are wondering what sitting on a scalding hot metal bench looks like right as you realize its too hot and jump back up, now yo don't have to wonder anymore!
Yay, I love this outfit! The dress is beautiful and your sandals are pretty, too! ;))

haha your face in the last pic is amazing, i love it!! and you look just darling in that pretty vintage dress; nice touch w/ the headscarf too. Sounds amazing hitting up those food trucks and walking around in that adorable little town, especially that you can walk around outside this time of year. hope we get to see pics of the little creek as well! I'm at work today as well but really don't find it bad either, it was a nice day break from work.

bahahaha, that last picture! man, that happens WAY too often. It's especially awful when your legs and thighs are bare, or your dress doesn't tuck under like you meant for it too... BURN, BABY, BURN.
ReplyDeleteYour fourth of July outfit is so darling and sweet. Seriously, checkered print red dress?! Swooning over here! And I love what you did with your hair, too. :)
Duuuude, we totally celebrated America's birthday with delicious deserts, too: spinach and artichoke dip smothered in cheesey cheese (and more cheese), peanut butter rice krispie bars topped with chocolate and caramel, chocolate cake with double chocolate icing, chocolate... chcolate... mmmmmMM
oh i love gingham! so this beautiful dress of yours is no exception! you look amazing!

"Yesterday we had a really low key 4th, grabbing a picnic lunch from a little grocery store in this little adorable town above and then heading into the mountains to eat and lunge by the creek." ---- OKAY the fact that you can casually say you're just going to head to the mountains to eat makes me insanely jealous! I'm dying to live by the mountains! This dress, to me, screams 4th of July and I looooove it. You're cute!
ReplyDeleteOmg that last photo. I love this dress, so very summer!

These are so perfect Hannah! So vintage patriotic! (is that a thing?) I love the dress and your headwrap. What a perfectly pretty outfit for the 4th. My day was also spent eating junk and barbecuing with family. And sadly I had to work Friday as well. Isn't that the worst to have to go back for one more day before the weekend? I love that last photo so much! Makes me laugh everytime :) hope you weren't burned too bad though!
