Giveaway on Selective Potential!

Hello & happy Friday!  Just wanted to quickly stop in to let you guys know I am holding a giveaway over on one of my longtime favorite blogs, Selective Potential! The winner will receive a $50 credit to my vintage shop, and all you have to do to enter is comment on the giveaway post here with your favorite item from the shop!  There are also a bunch of optional entries you can do to increase your chances of winning.  If you love vintage, make sure to head on over and enter! If giveaways aren't your thing but you're still in the shopping mood, there's a discount code at the bottom of the post too :)

And as I haven't done a Friday favorites post in quite some time, here are a few things that caught my eye around the internet lately!

This GQ article depicting the cast of Game of Thrones and their cat look alikes is so good! I especially laughed at Joffrey and Sam.

Speaking of cats, this article about 10 cats that got famous for their markings is possibly the best thing I have ever laid eyes on.

Urban outfitters is having a 50% off sale on sale items this weekend both online and in stores.  It is taking all my willpower to not buy these golden-heeled pumps! (p.s. the discount is taken at checkout)

This article featuring 11 tiny houses is so cool, I want all of them!

And last but not least, I want anything and everything with the color emerald green.  I am especially loving this outfit worn my Grasie Mercedes and this street style snap of artist Abigail Clark from Refinery 29.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Plaid Reindeer

I am so excited because these are the first outfit photos shot with the new lens I got for my birthday, a huge thanks to my parents!  I still have a lot to learn, but I am really impressed with the quality so far!  For those interested, its a 35mm F1.8 Nikon lens and I got it from Mikes Camera!
Outfit Details:  Deer Sweater - c/o Oasap (on sale now!) // Plaid Top +
Polka Dot Jeans - Forever 21 // Snow Boots - Target

This is a super casual outfit I wore working from home and running errands.  As someone who often likes to dream up outfits in advance, I find it really nice when I end up liking something I just threw on for warmth and coziness more than expected.  And since it has been absolutely freezing here this past week, layers and comfort are key!
And if any of you love plaid as much as I do, there's a ton of cute plaid options available in my vintage shop right now!  This little red tartan number is one of my favorites!  I hope you guys are all staying warm and having a great week!

Pendleton Woods

Hello! Just a few snaps from when I was up in Breckenridge last weekend wearing all vintage from the shop.  Not too many of these shots turned out as it was super bright and the camera just did not want to focus.  The woes of using a tripod in the snow!
Outfit Details: Dress - Vintage Pendleton - for sale in the shop here! // Boots - Vintage - for sale in the shop here! // Blouse - Vintage, for sale in the shop here!

Anyway, of course I went MIA again right after promising to get back into a regular blogging schedule last week.  If you follow me on instagram however, you will know the reason! Besides shop work, I have had my hands full with four little kittens!  As some of you know probably know, I volunteer for my local Humane Society doing kitty foster care, so these little fur babies are in my care for the next to weeks until they are old enough to be adopted!  Make sure to follow along on instagram if you want to be inundated with tons of adorable kitten pictures :)

Have a great start to your week!

Fuzzy & White

For Thanksgiving day, I was torn between leggings and a giant oversized sweater and a dress of some sort.  I decided to borrow this little vintage navy number from the shop because the babydoll style cut was perfect for being comfortable and stuffing myself with mashed potatoes, stuffing, and pie in!
Outfit Details: Dress - vintage - for sale in the shop here! // Boots - vintage - for sale in the shop here! // Coat - Darling UK (The Vivienne Coat) via Zulily

This coat by Darling was my special splurge of the season.  I got it from the daily deal site Zulily for probably over half off, yet it was still way more than I usually spend as I thrift most of my wardrobe! While its fluffy white material with stripes of gold sequins is not my typically more low key style, I have to admit it really makes me feel special when I have it on!

Anyway, these were taken right around the house we rented with family and friends up in Breckenridge for the weekend.  It was in the same neighborhood we rented in last year  so its becoming a tradition, and the place was so pretty and perfect for afternoon walks.  I also had a wonderful birthday on Monday back in Boulder, opening so many amazing presents and going out for sushi and sake with R and the fam.  I dropped my family off at the airport yesterday and they made it out before a huge snowstorm that came through last night.  It feels so strange to be back in my apartment alone, but its nice to be sitting here drinking coffee with my own thoughts, and actually feeling like I want to blog again instead of it feeling like a giant chore.  Sometimes its so important to just take a step back and enjoy the people you are with in the moment!
Hope you guys are having a great week!

p.s.  In case you missed it, one of my favorite bloggers, Elizabeth of Delightfully Tacky styled an outfit wearing boots from The Braided Bandit Vintage on her blog the other day, so exciting! You can see her full post here!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Hip hip hooray, today is my birthday and I am 27 years old!  I really haven't been keeping up with posts lately as my family has been in town and I decided to just enjoy myself and take a week off!

Outfit Details: Sweater - Vintage, for sale in the shop here! // Hat & Pants - thrifted //
Boots - Marshalls

We spent Thanksgiving in a beautiful house we rented up in Breckenridge with friends and family and then stayed the weekend too.  It was so beautiful there, and I think I am still stuffed from all of the food I ate.  I knew this vintage sweater from the shop would be a perfect thing to grab for a snowy weekend, and paired it with my new favorite thrifted dino hat.
Anyway, we are driving back to Boulder today to celebrate my birthday there!  I am picking out a new lens for my camera I have been wanting for ever as my gift from my family, and we may go see a movie and then go to one of my favorite restaurants downtown for dinner and drinks.  I promise to get back to posting regularly again now, and I hope you all had a wonderful holiday here in the U.S! I can't wait to catch up with you all!

Scarlet Letter

Not to get too ahead of myself, as I usually like to do a "What I am thankful for" post on Thanksgiving... but there is just so much to be thankful and excited for this week that I don't think I can hold off!
Outfit Details: Letter Pullover - c/o Persunmall // Pants - c/o American Apparel /
Shoes - vintage, thrifted / Blouse - Converse, thrifted / Owl Ring - gift from Marisa

Yesterday I got my 300th sale on Etsy, which I had set as a goal to reach before my family arrives for the holiday this week.  I made it just in time, because they arrive tonight! Then, on Wednesday we road trip up to a house we rented in Breckenridge, Thursday is Thanksgiving, Friday is my ugly sweater birthday party and Monday is my actual birthday. Whew! So much goodness!

Anyway, quickly about the outfit... I have really been wanting some sort of letter sweater for awhile now so I jumped at the chance when I saw this one online at Persunmall!  I love the sportiness it brings to the outfit and I want to try layering it over a girly dress next time for some contrast.  It's super comfy too so I can already tell it will get a lot of wear while I'm working from home in leggings and fuzzy socks most days!
Have a great start to your week!

Color Roundup: GREEN

Forest green, mint, emerald, and turquoise greens, I love them all! When asked my favorite color, green has been my reply for as long as I can remember.  So without further adieu, here are a few ways I have worn my favorite color on the blog in the past!

Hooray for Friday! I have already been to the post office to ship off orders, have a nice large vanilla latte sitting in front of me, and have a bunch of cute vintage lined up to shoot!  I even ironed it all last night instead, which is nothing short of a miracle! Usually I am trying to get everything ready to shoot while watching the best daylight quickly fade away, always racing against light and time! Even if you are not shooting product photos, I am sure most bloggers can relate with trying to shoot outfit photos when its now completely dark by 4:30pm!
Anyway, I will be spending this weekend getting ready for Thanksgiving and the arrival of my house guests (my parents and brother) on Monday!  Have a wonderful weekend!
