Americana Whites

Hi guys! Can I just say it's going to be such a relief when this week is over.  Though a lot of the stuff I've got going on is good stuff, there's so many little extras going on this week its throwing me for a loop.  It's also been oddly dreary for Colorado this week, except for the day I shot these photos last Friday where it was so bright I look like I'm scowling in almost every shot!

As I've mentioned before, one of the most exciting (and stressful) things I have coming up is selling at my first market this weekend in Boulder!  If you're local, you should definitely stop by and say hello!  It's right in Boulder's "central park" on 13th and canyon and I'll be there SUNDAY from 11-5! Cross your fingers for good weather and friendly customers!  I also have a super fun giveaway and collaboration coming up with two of my favorite NYC bloggers Noelle's Favorite Things and Jag Lever for a $100 gift card to my shop!  I will be posting more information on instagram so stay tuned!  In the meantime, you can see their adorable BFF style post wearing vintage from my shop here!

The Most Ridiculous Shirt

Hi guys, I hope you had a wonderful 4th!  This is what I donned for America's birthday.  I can't believe I'm actually posting this outfit on my blog. This shirt is half a joke, half really really serious.

I usually try to avoid shopping at Walmart, but it's unfortunately the only store in easy walking distance of our house.  R and I walked there on Friday to grab a few groceries for the weekend when I spotted this gem of a shirt on the rack. You guys. It's a kitten, holding a rocket pop and pinwheel with fireworks in its eyes wearing an uncle sam hat.  You can't really get more patriotic than that.  And it's even made in the good ole U.S.A.  I tried to find a link to it since I know all of you will be just dying to get your hands on one, but I couldn't find it online!  I may or may not have also tied a matching hair bow on my poor cat and made her pose for a picture with me as well (on my insta here).  She was a good sport because treats were involved.

Back to reality and a super busy week tomorrow!

Parisian Stripes

Hello!
It's so hard to get good photos shooting in the bright Colorado summer sun! Standing in the shade makes photos too dark and hazy and standing in the sun makes the light too harsh and contrasty. Definitely have a goal this summer to get to know my camera better on completely manual settings so I have more control!  Test subjects welcome :)

Overalls & Purse - in the shop soon!
Scarf- Vintage
Sandals - BC Footwear via Swell
Striped Tee - Forever 21
Sunglasses - Zero UV

I wore this to Boulder this weekend to go and checkout the outdoor market where I will be selling two weekends from now!  The market was pretty small and low key, I wish it was advertised better because it has an awesome downtown location right along the creek, but it didn't seem like that many people knew about it!  That said, it will probably make for an easier transition into the market and in-person scene if its not swarming with people!  If you are in the Colorado area, mark your calendars for the afternoon of Sunday July 12th and come visit me at Boulder Market, I would love to see you there!

p.s. All this outfit needs is a Baguette, #AmIRight? Too bad I'm in the middle of the Whole30 and can't have delicious, bready carbs! Missing my one true love, pizza, a whole lot right now!

Fruits n Veggies

Hi guys! More than half way to the weekend! Just stopping in with an outfit I wore earlier this week. This is the cutest vintage blouse (which should be in the shop next week) covered in fruits and veggies, which I wore to mark my first day of yet another cleanse I am doing.  I am on day three of ten, and then I may try to transition into the whole 30 directly after that because guys, I can't button my pants anymore. Its no good.  Wish me luck (or better yet, send some motivation and commitment my way, and don't you dare say "pizza" or "burrito" in my presence!)
Outfit Details:
Shorts + Blouse - Vintage
Sandals - BC Footwear via Swell
Sunnies - from market vendor in Italy

How good is that print? May cry a little when it goes up in the shop.  In other news, I am getting excited for my first in-person selling event at a local outdoor market next month, but am pretty intimidated my how much planning really goes into it!  I've gotten some great advice from a few blogging friends who sell at craft fairs though, and if you have ever sold at one (or even just visited one and have seen something you liked or disliked), please share your tips with me!

Cream Pleats

Good Morning!  Hope you guys are having a sunny and productive week so far.  I've been shooting lots of new vintage for the shop, all while trying to not be distracted by living with kitty again (and failing).  My phone is going to quickly run out of storage at the rate I'm going, stopping my work every five minutes to snap a photo of whatever Lilikoi is doing. But I mean, look at that face!  Even R, who has always been a dog person his whole life, is becoming a proud cat-dad.  He and I  coo and cluck at the cat likes crazed idiots to compete to see who she will come to first for the prized title of "who Lilikoi currently loves more"...

Headband - vintage

Okay, done with the cat lady tirade (for this post at least) and onto the outfit.  I kept this beautiful vintage dress in my collection of cream colored dresses that I hoard for myself for no reason for about two years, but finally decided to be nice and share, so you can find it in the shop here.  I will be adding a bunch of new dresses over the next couple of days as well, so keep your eyes peeled! Hope you guys have an awesome day!

A Low Key 4th

Three day weekends are the best.  If every weekend was three days long I think everyone would be a lot happier! Except the people who work weekends.

Outfit Details:
Dyed Dress - c/o Oasap
White Sunnies - c/o Sunglass Warehouse
Wedges - thrifted
Necklace - handmade/ DIY
Fish Purse - gift from Mom (from Taiwan!)

This is what I wore on the fourth!  I went for a more understated red white and blue look than the screamingly patriotic kind this time around.  This new indigo and white dyed dress from Oasap was absolutely perfect for an ultra low key day of grilling (veggie for me) hot dogs, buzzed cherry pie baking, and playing ping pong.  I'll be honest, we may have had so much food and drink so early in the day that we were barely able to stay awake until it got dark.  We did catch the fireworks from across town out our window though!

Yesterday R and I discovered that there is actually a BEACH less than a mile from our new house, something I never thought I'd say living here in Colorado.  The one thing I miss most about home in New Jersey is definitely the beach and ocean.  Even though our new find is only a reservoir, it has sand, a swimming area, and even a lifeguard, so I am one happy camper.  Now you know where you can find me on basically every summer weekend from here on out!

Hope you guys had a wonderful weekend!

Patriotic Roundup

Hi guys! If you're in the grand ole USA, Happy 4th of July to you!  I didn't get my act together to actually photograph my red, white, and blue for a post today in advance, so I thought I would do a little patriotic roundup of past outfits!

I love how each of the photos holds a memory, as they were taken spanning back over the last three or so years of blogging! From the prairies of Colorado, to the old Victorian houses of Cape May New Jersey (middle right), to the island of Kauai, Hawaii (middle), we sure do have a beautiful country!
I hope you all of a wonderful day with family and friend!
