BFFs and Vintage

Happy Friday!
Here is an extra special outfit post wearing vintage from the shop with my best friend from college Rachel!  Some of them look like they're right out of that coffee table book "Awkward Family Photos", am I right or am I right?

Man do I miss my BFFs from New Jersey when I'm out here in Colorado, especially after returning from a trip.  Its so important to have people in your life that you can be silly with and totally yourself. Rachel happened to be house sitting for a friend when I drove up to visit her while home in New Jersey, so we of course tried to usher the pups into a few photos as well.  You can find the vintage skirt set Rachel is wearing in the shop here and the gingham shorts set I am wearing here!
    Anyway, off to drink a boat load of friday coff and try to get all my work done so I can enjoy my weekend!

Hannah Banana

Oh you know, just walking around in a mini dress covered in bananas. Another recent find from Oasap that turned out to be way more of a blouse and less of a dress, but I just could not pass up the print! Hannah Banana was a nickname growing up that I was not very fond of (I didn't like Bananas), but now I think its pretty cute!

Anyway, these were taken in front of the lush foliage of an Ocean Grove house while I was on a walk taking photos of all of the beautiful victorian style houses I liked in town.  I'll probably do a separate post on the cute houses later!  Now, off to get back into the swing of things and get over this feeling of jet lag.  Coming back from vacation is always weird.

Caramel Sailor + Giveaway Winner!

I'm still in NJ visiting friends and family but will be flying back to Colorado this evening... definitely bittersweet!

    This darling sailor "dress" arrived at my parent's doorstep here in New Jersey (the beautiful one shown in these photos!) I love the color and babydoll cut, but there is no way this could ever be a dress on me so now its a cute new blouse instead.  Thank goodness for these little spandex shorts I bring with me everywhere.
    Even more impressive is my dad's tropical garden in front of the house!  There's even a baby pineapple growing there which you can kind of make out under the fringe of my purse in the 3rd and last photos!

The Great Auditorium

   Hooray for it being Wednesday already! I hope the work week if flying by for everyone. Here is another round of pictures taken while I was home in New Jersey.  These were taken at a historic landmark by my parents house in Ocean Grove called The Great Auditorium, which is even more impressive on the inside!

We also snapped a few pictures in front of the start of the summer tents that go up around town.  They are little tent houses that people live in during the summer months there, and there's row upon row of colorful striped awnings! I was wearing a new blouse and necklace that the lovely people at August Wrinkle sent to me, and I can't get enough of the pretty sequined collar. You can expect to see lots more of it this summer!

Beachy Keen

 Hi guys, just wanted to stop in and say a quick hello and share my first round of pictures from home with you guys! The first two days my family and I drove a bit south for a mini getaway in Cape May New Jersey to celebrate my brother's graduation.  We came here every summer with a big group of family and friends, and it was so fun going back so many years later!  I am in love with all of the pastel Victorians there so prepare for a picture overload in the coming days.

    As per usual, I matched my outfit to my surroundings and my mom snapped these pictures on the way to the beach.  It had been cold and rainy for weeks, yet decided to be sunny and near 80 degrees while we were there.  I miss the beach and ocean so much when I am in Colorado so I am so happy to have gotten a few nice beach days in!
     Now I am back in Ocean Grove where my parents live, and it is my last night here, so I should be back on a more regular blogging schedule soon! But for now, I am off to enjoy the rest of the day with family and friends!
