Island Americana

I was going to title this post "Island Patriot", but I didn't want anyone to get the false impression that I watched the Superbowl yesterday...
Outfit Details
Shirt - Swell (Mens section/ altered)
Shorts - Vintage
Hat - Eddie Bauer

These snaps were taken outside of the little cottage we rented in Hanalei.  The top was from the men's section of Swell, and I brought up the length and the sleeves to make it into a crop top right before we left.  The shorts also used to be a really awkward almost-knee length.  It's amazing what some tiny/ easy alterations can do!  Hope you guys had a wonderful weekend!

  2. Turning a men's shirt into a woman's one? Genius! I love the difference alterations can make! This is a really cute vacation look! I laughed at your first sentence. I could care less about football and the Superbowl in specific, but I have to admit that I did watch the tail end of the game yesterday--it was a close one!

  4. Those alterations make the world of difference, those shorts are my favourite part of this outfit and I would never have guessed they started out life as a much longer style. That tee is pretty awesome too.

  7. Nice work on the alterations! I would've never guessed that was originally a men's tee! That's funny with the original post title- I guess with the timing people would've thought your were a big football fan :)

  8. I'm so jealous of your vacation spots! I literally laughed out loud when I read about your title. I don't watch football all that much either.... I love the outfit and you look like you're having the time of your life. Love it!
