Salvaged Strawberry

 Hi guys,
Did you have a good weekend? Mine was way too short and busy, but this is only a three day week so I can totally handle it. Or so I keep telling myself.
Outfit Details:
Dress: Vintage from Salvaged Strawberry
Boots: MIA, gift from mom
Hat: gift from mom
Skinny Belt: Forever21
Scarf: Target

This is what I wore this weekend to run around doing a million things.  When I saw this striped maxi in the awesome vintage shop Salvaged Strawberry, I just had to have it!  I have never really worn maxi dresses in the winter before, but  thought this could be a piece for any season.  And let's be honest, anything that is as comfy as wearing a sweatsuit but you don't look like a complete slob in, I am totally down for. I originally thought I may hem it, but now I am thinking I really like it as is! Between the velvet floral dress last week and this outfit, I have really been rocking the 90s lately haha.  The lovely Amanda of Salvaged Strawberry even sent me some extra goodies in my package and it was wrapped adorably. Definitely make sure to take a peek at her blog and shop!
I apologize if I have not been responding to comments as much! I usually scroll through blogs in between tasks at work, but the internet at my work is slow as molasses.  I'm working on it!

  7. I'd totally keep the length- it looks awesome on you. And I love how you compared it to a chic sweatsuit hahah. I love the way you made it winter appropriate, this definitely makes me look at my maxi dresses in a different way.

And I can't wait to see how you styled your grandpa sweater- I can use more inspiration for my clown-esque sweater haha

  10. I love the length on you actually, it looks interesting and unique-not cookie cutter! You are adorable in stripes! I could see how this look would be very transitional. Add more layers for winter, less for summer-perfect!

And oooh, way to rock a maxi in the cooler weather. I'm all about comfortable, easy-to-toss-on pieces that are still stylish haha.

  15. I love Amanda's shop! This dress really does look like the most comfy thing ever. I wish I were just a bit taller so I could pull of the maxi dress look better than what I currently do. The scarf, hat, and jacket are such a cute way to take the dress into the cooler months.

Have a fab Thanksgiving week Hannah! xoxo Marisa

I never wear maxi dresses either, I think it is about finding the right one. This is definitely the right one for you. It looks great on you! I found the right one at a thrift shop a couple years ago. It's strapless and floral.
