Geo Pastoral

Geo-pastoral.  Oh, you didn't know that was a thing? Well, its when you wear a very geometric or mod printed item of clothing in a pastoral or country like setting to create a clash.  But, I obviously just made it up. Now when you see it in all of the Fall 2014 lookbooks you know who the source was.

On the way back from brunch last weekend, I almost jumped out of a moving vehicle when I saw this gorgeous barn in the distance I was so excited.  While I love clothes and styling outfits, what I love more about taking photos for the blog is if you can make somewhat of an exploration or adventure out of it.  Jumping out of the car to be outside for even only 15 minutes to walk along a country road or through the woods is really so refreshing!
I hope you're all having a wonderful week!

  1. I think that's one of my favorite parts about blogging too. Photo shoots require you to be out it is refreshing and seeing things with new eyes.

Also, a fun print you have on indeed!

  2. COWS, omg! I really enjoy both the "geo" and "pastoral" aspect of this post :)

  3. Oh gurl you're a trendsetter, geo pastoral!! I likey! This dress is great, and this location is so wonderful too. I miss photo adventuring, I need the weather to smarten up and fast

  4. Haha i think geopastorial can become a thing- and i LOVE that dress of yours. also, there's something so romantic about jumping out of a moving car to go walk on the farm road. The location is SO pretty, it's making me want to actually venture outside of my house for a bit, haha

  6. oh man, i def would be just as excited if we had any beautiful old barns (and darling animals) around like this, soooo beautiful!! and i love this dress w/ teh boots. and that word- tot something fashionistas would make up, good call : ).

  7. I think your geometric dress looks great with the barn as back drop, something about the two don;t go but that is what makes it so appealing.

  8. You always have the most amazing back drops for your photos- I love the extra touch it adds. I dig the new fashion term and that dress is awesome.
