One of my favorite parts of writing a so called "fashion" blog is
sharing adventures and pretty scenery with you guys. For me, its
usually just as much about finding a good backdrop as it is about
putting together a nice outfit. I like to think of each post as a mini
lookbook that evokes a feeling and a fin viewing experience of my
surroundings for my readers (and for myself)! That said, this weather
has been getting me a bit down, and I am growing pretty tired of
throwing my down jacket off for the sake of outfits snaps and having the
wind ruin 3/4 of the shots I take! I definitely still plan to go on
adventures and find pretty scenic places to take photos, but for the
time being, I am also going to do a few posts inside too. I hope you
guys will bear with me!
Outfit Details:
Dress: Ruche, swapped with Ashley // Tights: Francesca's Collections, gift // Heels: thirfted //
Chevron Necklace: DIY by me // Belt: came on an old dress // Hat: Brixton
My bedroom acts as both my office and studio for my vintage shop, so I decided to add a few cute touches to the area I typically take listing pictures! I always have some of my current favorite vintage dresses hanging on the wall as decoration, and added a little flag bunting I made above them. I am so excited to have an indoor space I am happy with to take some pictures in, its definitely going to make blogging a bit easier.
On to the dress! I borrowed this from the lovely
Ashley of Southern (California) Belle through our swap
blog Flock Together! I am pretty sure she originally got this dress for her engagement photos, so I felt so privileged to be able to borrow such a cute and special piece from her, thanks Ashley! You can see how Ashley styled it on her
blog here (aren't the polka dot tights the cutest?!) I decided to pair it with a pair of lacy grey tights a friend got me for Christmas, a necklace I made, and pops of red.
I hope you guys have a fun weekend planned! Happy Friday!
