For Thanksgiving day, I was torn between leggings and a giant oversized sweater and a dress of some sort. I decided to borrow this little
vintage navy number from the shop because the babydoll style cut was perfect for being comfortable and stuffing myself with mashed potatoes, stuffing, and pie in!
This coat by Darling was my special splurge of the season. I got it from the
daily deal site Zulily for probably over half off, yet it was still way more than I usually spend as I thrift most of my wardrobe! While its fluffy white material with stripes of gold sequins is not my typically more low key style, I have to admit it really makes me feel special when I have it on!
Anyway, these were taken right around the house we rented with family and friends up in Breckenridge for the weekend. It was in the same neighborhood we rented in last year so its becoming a tradition, and the place was so pretty and perfect for afternoon walks. I also had a wonderful birthday on Monday back in Boulder, opening so many amazing presents and going out for sushi and sake with R and the fam. I dropped my family off at the airport yesterday and they made it out before a huge snowstorm that came through last night. It feels so strange to be back in my apartment alone, but its nice to be sitting here drinking coffee with my own thoughts, and actually feeling like I want to blog again instead of it feeling like a giant chore. Sometimes its so important to just take a step back and enjoy the people you are with in the moment!
Hope you guys are having a great week!
