Jungle Leopard

In the past, leopard print hasn't really been my jam.  But in writing a style blog, my fashion choices over the past few years have become a bit more daring so I decided to give the bold print a try.
Outfit Details: Dress - c/o Oasap // Sunnies- gift from mom // Purse
Dooney & Bourke (vintage) // Heels - Marshsalls

What really sold me on this sweet little dress from Oasap was the comfy baydoll cut and cute bell sleeves!  Though I thought I had ordered it in a lighter tan color, the bold rust tones are actually growing on me.  My mom surprised me with these matching sunnies she found at the grocery store here yesterday and I think they are my new favorite pair!

R headed back to Colorado yesterday which is a bummer. I leave Hawaii on Friday so I am trying to soak up the sun, delicious fresh food, and sand as much as possible before I head back to the frigid winter.

  1. That's one of the great things about having a style blog- you really start to challenge your style and get out of your comfort zone. This looks really great on you and the cut is unique for something with that print- it's a perfect transition into your style! Enjoy the rest of your trip!!

  4. It may not be your go-to print, but the dress seems like a very Hannah kind of style, so it works :)

  5. I love the bold dress, and your sunnies even more! Super chic!! I think it's always fun finding those style items you end up loving in the most random of places such as the grocery store in your case. Adds fun to the whole outfit! :)

    Cheers!

  7. Love your shoes and bag! How was your New Year's? If you're like many of us and have resolved to spend a bit less this year, we'd love to help you reach that goal. Ever noticed how incredibly expensive shaving razors are? We think so too. We're a shaving company called Dorco and we want to put an end to overpriced razors. Ours cost up to 70% less than the leading brands. But saving that much doesn't mean you have to sacrifice quality. Read what others think about our products and see our prices for yourself at DorcoUSA.com. Thanks so much for sharing this beautiful outfit with us, and we wish you all the best in the coming year!

  9. Totally hear you on the "having a style blog has made my sartorial choices more bold" front. I like this over-sized animal print. A fun spin on the look. You make me think maybe I should try an animal print one of these days.

  10. This is absolutely the perfect setting for this dress!!! I love this animal print, it's really fun and different from most others. I can imagine you're enjoying your time away and don't want to come home, I would never want to leave!

  13. I know what you mean, sometimes leopard print can be a bit icky and "real housewives". This print, however, is more fun and graphic, and I too love the shape of the dress itself! Great choice. Enjoy the rest of your time in Hawaii while we are all jealous in the cold!! Ha

  14. i have totally felt the same way, but it depends on the leopard. this dress is absolutely adorable. i've gotten really into large leopard print (like on your dress). it can be a great neutral!

  17. I like the deep rust on you, too! The other color might have looked too much like skin, haha. I love that you turned it into a top sicne dresses from those companies are often too short--cute!

  18. it's funny leopard print is the only animal print i really like or will wear. it can be hit and miss so i can see why some people don't like it but i really do! it just depends how you wear it and what the rest of your style is like, but i don't think you can go wrong with this cute little babydoll number.

  19. Oh I adore this on you. I too have hesitated to wear animal prints and tend to shy away from them but this is too cute and the babydoll cut is so flattering. Hope you're having fun in Hawaii!

  20. Ina has a leopard-print fleece "lounge suit" in RAINBOW colors! As hideous as that sounds- that curly-headed little girl can pull it off (complete with her fuschia/purple leopard shoes). So, maybe the two of you can go sport these funky prints in Boulder some day... It looks adorable on you- and are those highlights I see or just the Hawaiian sun gracing its presence in your hair? Enjoy your last days!

    1. Whoops forgot to answer this Kar! Love that you can comment now :) I totally believe Ina could wear basically anything and look adorable, if the ugly christmas sweaters were any proof to that! As for the hair, I did get highlights before I left and then they were helped by the sun! Unfortunately, its turning back to reddish again now, it won't leave!!!

  21. Your hawaii photos have been an absolute dream Hannah! I've definitely been wishing I was in the warm weather looking at them the past couple weeks. As for the dress...holy perfection! Probably one of my favorite styles dress-wise and a leopard print to boot - yes, smitten all around! Have fun soaking up the rest of the sunshine these last two days. Hopefully you can bring some back with you so Colorado :-)
