Hi guys! How are you doing?  I seriously miss you!  Just dropping in with a simple outfit I wore out to dinner and a movie a few weeks ago.  But let's be honest, I changed out of these heels immediately after these photos were taken!

I have been living in these high waisted black jeans I picked up from H&M the other week, and the top is a recent thrift find.  The movie we saw was Big Hero 6, which I thought was really cute. Anyway, not to sound like a broken record, but my shop and seasonal job are keeping me so busy that I barely have time for anything else!  I hope you guys are having fun shopping for gifts and being merry!

Mountain Sun

Each time I come back to shoot blog photos on this little path in my neighborhood, these wild sunflowers are bigger and bigger.  Note to self when shooting on a dirt path though:  do not where stilettos.  I teetered around looking like a weirdo and sinking completely into the mud with each step I took.  I should just keep my mouth shut though and let you guys think I am graceful and sophisticated.

Its been cool and rainy the past few days here, so I jumped at the chance to take both shop and blog photos as soon as the sun came out yesterday.  I threw on this beautiful quilted jacket I just got in the mail, even though it was already much too hot to wear it.  For anyone who runs any sort of online shop, you know that natural sunlight is best for product photos, but boy is it frustrating when you plan to shoot listing pictures and then its too dark and gloomy for days so your work is stalled.  I think I should probably just invest in a better indoor lighting situation so I'm not so dependent on the weather, but lack of sunshine isn't typically a problem here in Colorado!

Anyway,  I am completely baffled that August has already arrived.  Lots of fun things planned this month.  Cheers to making the most of summer while its still around!

Spring Awakening

Good Morning!

    Just wanted to stop in quickly and post a few more photos from the outfit I share over on the Flock Together Blog yesterday.  I was lucky enough to borrow this beautiful floral pleated Mata Traders dress from Marisa of The Shades of Monet Chronicles.  I don't think having access to other amazing blogger lady's closets will ever get old!

Let's see, what's new around these parts?  I spent a pretty dull weekend (and all of yesterday) finishing up my horrendous small business owner taxes, which I am so glad to be done with but not so glad about the chunk of change I had to hand over! I did however get in an amazing thrifting trip on Saturday morning, so that help make up for the taxes.  I also picked up two new foster kitties from my local humane society, as they are re-doing the cat portion of the shelter and needed volunteers to take all of the residing kitties for the week! Sniper is the fluffy one with to different color eyes, and Amber, whom I call Mango, has a large orange polka dot on his side!  They are both little old grandpa's and total sweeties (except towards eachother), so its a treat to get to have them as little visitors for the week!
