Caramel Cats

On some Mondays, such as today, simply sipping a cup of coffee at work isn't enough.  I am requesting my office gets a caffeine I.V. station where I can cut to the chase and insert it right into my veins.  Coffee I.Vs exist, right? Well if not, brb, patenting it.
Outfit Details: Kitty Skirt - c/o Persunmall // Black Cropped Tank - c/o Persunmall //
Blouse - c/o August Wrinkle // Sunnies - c/o Oasap // Straw Boater - Vintage //
Saddle Shoes - Deena & Ozzy (thrifted)

Monday's lethargy aside, I had a pretty good weekend. Friday night R and I headed to our favorite dive bar for some beer and games and on Saturday I went on a little vintage buying trip to get some new things for the shop.  Sunday was bittersweet, but definitely falling closer to the sweet side.  My foster cat Hamilton got adopted by a super nice young couple who came to meet him last week! I am so happy for him, but I am definitely going to miss having my three-legged buddy hop all around my apartment after me!  So, my cat-print skirt (from Persunmall) is in honor of Hammy finding a good home!
Anyway,  I will be working four really long days so R and I can road trip into the mountains on Friday for a long weekend! Cheers to the start of you work (or school) week!

Hot Pink

Hi guys!  Thanks for all of your kind words about my new red hair from last post.  It's always so nice to be part of such a supportive community of bloggers, that's for sure!
Outfit Details: Dress- c/o August Wrinkle // Necklace - c/o Oasap // Handwoven Mexican Bracelet - Mitla Moda // Heels - thrifted

In this outfit I went a bit outside of my comfort zone with a hot pink dress from August Wrinkle.  I loved the floaty chiffon layers and uneven hem but it was a bit more neon than I usually go for.  I am glad I tried it out though because I felt more like a rockstar in it than my normal grandma gear, and even R gave it a thumbs up ;)  I wore it with my favorite bracelet to pair with bright colored summer outfits from Dusana's non profit shop Mitla Moda!  Her shop is filled with these woven bracelets handmade in Mexico and there are a ton of beautiful color options to choose from!
This may be one of my new photo locations for the blog.  It is right by R's apartment and there is a ton of open space with beautiful mountain views in the background.  I may have to share the spot with the hundreds of Prairie Dogs frolicking around the field though.
Well, this is day three of twelve days of work in a row.  You guys can help me count the days down so I remain sane!  Hope you're having a great week!

Emerald Sunflowers

Happy Friday!
I for one am pretty happy the weekend is almost here because I am in need of some major down time!  I unfortunately have been working all week while I have Bronchitis which has not been the most fun combination ever.  I am feeling on the up swing though and am ready to take on the 90+ degree weekend, hopefully while laying on a giant float in the middle of a pool.
Outfit Details: Dress - c/o August Wrinkle // Tights- thrifted // Sunnies - c/o American Apparel
Shoes - vintage // Collar - Ampris Loves

This amazing green dress was sent to me by the lovely people over at August Wrinkle and I couldn't be happier with it.  These pictures were taken last weekend, but I wish I had waited to take pictures because I have since dyed my hair reddish and am going even more red this weekend! Aren't redheads supposed to look best in green? I need to learn these things!  Anyway, I love the detail on the back of this dress, and because it is a solid color, I decided to pair it with my crazy sunflower print tights to mix things up a bit.  I will be missing this street outside of R's house as my go-to photo taking location now that he's moved, but I'll just have to find a new one.  And plus, now there's a swimming pool so I'd say that's a fair trade!
Have a great weekend!

The Great Auditorium

Hooray for it being Wednesday already! I hope the work week if flying by for everyone. Here is another round of pictures taken while I was home in New Jersey.  These were taken at a historic landmark by my parents house in Ocean Grove called The Great Auditorium, which is even more impressive on the inside!
Outfit Details: Blouse & Necklace - c/o August Wrinkle // Pants - c/o American Apparel //
Shoes - vintage, borrowed from Mom // Bag - Vintage, Dooney & Bourke

We also snapped a few pictures in front of the start of the summer tents that go up around town.  They are little tent houses that people live in during the summer months there, and there's row upon row of colorful striped awnings! I was wearing a new blouse and necklace that the lovely people at August Wrinkle sent to me, and I can't get enough of the pretty sequined collar. You can expect to see lots more of it this summer!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful week!

Abbey Road

Happy Friday!
This week was great.   Because I was still home in New Jersey for the first part of the week, I only had a three day work week, followed by a three day weekend. This is something I could get used to!  Do you guys have any fun plans for the weekend?

Outfit Details: Blouse - c/o August Wrinkle // Pinafore Dress - Vintage //
Boots - Vintage, borrowed from Mom // Purse - Vintage, Dooney & Bourke

The idea behind this shoot was to be based on The Beatles Abbey Road album cover, which was my moms brilliant idea!  She was quite the Beatles fan girl growing up (and still is). She took all my pictures for me while I was home too - it was so nice not having to lug a tripod home in my suitcase with me!  I donned my most London-esque clothing I had with me, which was all vintage besides this beautiful Peter Pan collared blouse from the lovely people over at August Wrinkle.  I think I have worn it three times since I got it a week ago because its adorable and goes with everything!  The outfit needed a pop of color so I grabbed a heart balloon leftover from my brother's graduation party decor for a bit of fun.
Also wanted to let you guys know the lovely Gabrielle from the blog Hippie Go Lucky interviewed me and did a feature on my shop, which was so sweet of her! You can read it here if you are interested!
Anyway, I hope you all have a beautiful weekend! It is supposed to be in the mid 80s here and mostly sunny.  My game plan is to be outside as much as possible, while actually doing as little as possible!
