Hump-day Shlump-day

Sometimes I think Wednesdays are the most difficult days to write posts for.  I usually stare at my cursor blinking on the white screen and rack my tired, mid-week, brain for a small shred of inspiration to share with you all.  On Mondays, you can regal in fun weekend memories, and on Fridays you always have something to look forward to, even if that something is doing nothing.  I think Wednesdays are just for trying to keep your chin up and head above water.
Outfit Details: Blouse - borrowed from Dusana // Boyfriend Jeans- Volcom // Hat- Target //
Booties- Blowfish // Wooden Bracelets - gift from Salvaged Strawberry //
Butterfly Bangle - InPink // Ring- c/o OASAP / Purse- Vintage

As I vowed a few weekend ago to start sharing some more of my casual outfits, I am trying to deliver on that promise, and I have to admit I am enjoying it more than I thought! I think I am trying to redefine what I view as a "blog-worthy" outfit.  I am slowly learning that it is not about how many accessories you are wearing, how trendy the dress is, or how craftily you are layering prints, but more about having  quality images and just being yourself.  R even said this outfit was one of his favorite outfits of mine, so bring on the ripped boyfriend jeans!
I borrowed this amazing handmade shirt from Dusana of Cuddly Cacti's beautiful nonprofit shop Mitla Moda.  All of the tops are just perfect for a low key bohemian look and all the sales are for a great cause-what's not to love!  You can see how I styled this shirt a few weeks ago here.  For more swaps and remixes, you can also visit our swap blog Flock Together.

  2. I think looking classic and hip in a pair of jeans is prob the biggest style challenge ever because you know, a cute dress is just always cute. but you completely nailed it Hannah! i might even love this look even more than the last, the simplicity is just perfect & the booties & hat "top" off the look perfectly : ) thanks for the kind words & fun to hear R also enjoyed the look!

  8. I keep adding shirts like this to my wardrobe and yet I never blog post my casual looks much either, probably because it's eternally too cold here to get to wear them! I think I'll start blogging more casual looks too eventually, I keep meaning to and yours looks wonderful!

  9. Oh Miss Hannah, your casual looks are pretty impressive. My casual looks are pretty lame, haha. :) I love love love that floppy hat--and the braid around it is just the perfect little detail for it.

And those boooots! Ahh, I swoon over them! :)

Wednesdays are totally uneventful posting days for the reason you just said--not much has happened just yet, haha. Or not enough to actually sum everything up, you know? :D

  19. I love this! I've been wanting to get one of these tops from Dus and I think you helped me make my decision on which one! I hear ya on trying to show more "everyday" outfits, that's why I started the Week of Wears so that I wouldn't have so much pressure for outfits to be something they aren't always :) Have a great weekend!

  20. Ι love everyday outfits! I hate it when bloggers wear things just to be taken pictures, I prefer more simple looks!
    Love your bag and top!

  21. You are the queen of putting together some of the prettiest casual looks! I'm horrid at it - especially now that I have a baby bump ...hehe. I love the bohemian feel of this one and of course Dus's top is just a masterpiece :-) My eyes are nearly popping out of my head looking at that purse!!! Oh my goodness, what a beauty of a find - I will shamelessly admit I am definitely having bag envy over that.

Hope your weekend was lovely Hannah! xoxo Marisa

  22. I love Dus's chickadee blouse - I really want one from her shop but I can't figure out if I could style it right or not. This is such a cute boho outfit - really beautiful on you!

  23. Hunter is so the same way- when I'm in a t-shirt and jeans he'll comment "Hey, you look really nice!" SO, I guess that reaffirms the ever-popular adage, girls dress for girls and not for boys!

For the record, I think this is totally blogworthy! I think great outfits are great by the way you wear them- and ripped jeans are totally chic!
