Beachy Keen

Hi guys, just wanted to stop in and say a quick hello and share my first round of pictures from home with you guys! The first two days my family and I drove a bit south for a mini getaway in Cape May New Jersey to celebrate my brother's graduation.  We came here every summer with a big group of family and friends, and it was so fun going back so many years later!  I am in love with all of the pastel Victorians there so prepare for a picture overload in the coming days.

Shoes- borrowed from Mom // Necklace - gift

As per usual, I matched my outfit to my surroundings and my mom snapped these pictures on the way to the beach.  It had been cold and rainy for weeks, yet decided to be sunny and near 80 degrees while we were there.  I miss the beach and ocean so much when I am in Colorado so I am so happy to have gotten a few nice beach days in!
Now I am back in Ocean Grove where my parents live, and it is my last night here, so I should be back on a more regular blogging schedule soon! But for now, I am off to enjoy the rest of the day with family and friends!

Black Jumper

Hi guys!   Sorry, I have been kind of missing in the blogosphere lately.  I am currently sitting at the Denver airport eating grapefruit, watching a lightning storm, and waiting for my flight to New Jersey!  I am super excited to see friends and family, but its going to be a very long day.  Anyway, I thought since I had free wifi and a few extra minutes, I should probably put up a post before I go into vacation mode!
Outfit Details: Dress - Borrowed from Leah // Blouse - vintage // Shoes - Mojo Moxy via DSW

I borrowed this amazing jumper dress from Leah of We Live Upstairs.  These kind of dreary pictures were taken after work one day so pardon the tired looking Hannah, and focus on Leah's awesome dress!  Thanks so much for letting me borrow it Leah! I seriously loved that you could pair it with any sort of color or style blouse underneath.  You can see how Leah wore her dress here and here!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week! And a shout out to my brother Noah who just graduated college, which is the reason I am going home to New Jersey- celebrations are in order!

Makeover Monday: Creamy Cotton

Hi Friends,
Just sharing a super simple makeover for today's Makeover Monday post!  Though this dress was really gorgeous at the longer length as well, it is made of a heavier cotton so the length made it a bit bulky.  Now it is the perfect length for any summer event.  Anyone else loving anything white or cream colored right now?  I am packing for my trip home to New Jersey this week and I think I have three white dresses packed so far!

Flower Crown - DIY

This weekend was wonderfully warm here in Colorado.  We had a great picnic along a mountain creek yesterday complete with my first sunburn of the year.  Now I am just counting down the work days until I leave for NJ! Three to go!

Sequined Recap

Outfit Details: Sequin Top - borrowed from Leah // Skirt - Vintage // Heels - Marshalls //
Necklace - Forever21 // Fox Ring - c/o Oasap

Do you guys have any fun plans this weekend?  I don't have anything huge and exciting going on, but will probably do something with R and his mom for mothers day on Sunday since I don't actually live anywhere near my own mom (HI MOM!) We were thinking of doing some sort of picnic brunch in one of the mountain parks to avoid the craziness that is restaurants on Mothers Day since its supposed to be gorgeous!
Let's see, what else.  Well next week I am flying home to New Jersey for my brother's college graduation and I mini vacation! I am so excited! Also, I have added a bunch of pretty vintage to my shop so make sure to stop by and take a peek!

Uncle Sam

Well, I feel just about ready to be on the leading float in the Memorial Day Parade in this little getup.  It really wasn't meant to be patriotic, but by adding a boater hat to an already red, white, and blue ensemble, I think that's pretty much inevitable.
Outfit Details: Jumper - Vintage - for sale in the shop here! // Hat - Brixton //
Shoes - c/o American Apparel // Shirt & Leggings - not sure, old!

I have been loving overalls and jumper dresses lately, they make for the easiest and most comfortable outfits ever!   This darling overall dress has blue and white railroad stripes and the cutest criss-crossed back.  I may or may not have worn some variation of this outfit to work on Friday, then to shop for the shop all day Saturday, and then out to a new brewery Saturday night! As usual, it was a bit difficult for me to put it up in the shop, but I seriously love being able to share my finds with you guys! Also, please disregard the fact that I am wearing Christmas socks- they are my favorite and I wear them at least every other week.
Also just reminding everyone about our awesome giveaway over on the Flock Together Blog! You can win a $75 gift card to Modcloth, head on over here to enter!
Have a great day!

p.s. A good friend of mine's company is doing something called "Stache Week" where everyone in the office grows a mustache and then people vote on their favorites! It is all for a great cause too, as they are trying to raise money for the National MS Society.  If you are looking for some good karma, head on over here to view all the funny staches, and if you feel so inclined, you can donate a few bucks! :)
p.p.s. My friend is contestant #003... his mustache has BEADS in it! Yup.

Makover Monday is back!

Hello Friends! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  Today I would like to bring back a series on the blog I started awhile ago but quickly let slide: Makeover Monday!  On makeover Monday I'll share some before and after photos of a piece of clothing I have recently altered and given new life to!
Today's makeover is a 90s plaid button up I bought at a thrift store a few weeks ago.  I loved the bright summery plaid but was not a big fan of the poofy sleeves or boring length, so I decided to make it into a crop top!
Cropped Blouse - for sale in shop here! // Shorts - Vintage- thrifted // Shoes - Mojo Moxy via DSW

First, I removed the sleeve seams with a seam ripper, always a slow process but it always is worth it.  You can also just cut off the sleeves, but the benefit of using a seam ripper is that the folded sleeve hem will still be in place! All I had to do was fold it inward once more and sew a new seam!  Then, I marked the new desired length with a marker, cut it, and hemmed the bottom. That's all folks!
The newly made-over crop top is now for sale in my shop.  If people seem interested in these button up crop tops, I may make a few more too! I can't wait to pair them with sandals and a high waisted maxi skirt next!
