Sorry for the short absence, I've been bit busy working and trying to enjoy summer! I do have some pictures to share from camping this past weekend, but in the meantime, here are some of my favorite instagram snaps from July!
New notebooks are my favorite! I got these from Amazon from Rifle Paper Co.
One of the first areas I set up in my new apartment!
Heading out for a Saturday morning brunch
Hanging out at a food truck party!
Shipping out some summery orders
The view from inside our tent this weekend!
Hanging out in comfy clothes after setting up our tent the first night
For all of you guys interested, you can now embed pictures from your online instagram account. As usual, I am late to the tech party so this was news to me! All you have to do is go into your account (mine is here), click on the photo you want, click on the little "..." at the bottom, and select embed. From there you can just copy and paste the code into a blogger draft, but make sure you are working in the html tab, not the regular compose tab. Its a super easy way to post some of your instagram shots in a blog post without having to save each individual image and then upload them. Hope that helps!
Will be back shortly with some real camping pictures!

Life Lately
So, I meant to upload pictures last night for a blog post today, but some pretty new dresses and my sewing machine got the best of me. I am going to instead share some of my favorite instagrams from the past few weeks with you! You can find me @braidedbandit
I read an article recently on I.F.B. called "Top 10 Ways to Lose Your Blog Followers" or something to that extent. One of the ways was to post instagram photos on your blog haha. Their reasoning was that readers who follow you on both platforms will lose interest if they are always seeing repeat pictures. I agree to some extent, but lets be honest, I miss a ton of instagram pictures from some of my favorite people, and love when I can see a few all in one place as a little catch up. Plus, I like that they can show snippets of your life over a longer span, whereas a typical post for me usually only shows one day or event. I think it can definitely be overused on blogs if you aren't providing other content with obviously better quality photos, but when used sparingly, I quite like bloggers sharing their instagrams! What do you guys think? I promise I won't be offended either way!
Hope you're having a beautiful day!

My moms new foster kitten from the animal shelter, Cruz, at a week and a half old!
A Braided Bandit Vintage package all packed and ready to go!
A yummy Saturday Brunch in Denver

Pretty Fall dresses soon to be in the shop!

Insta Life {3rd Edition}
Hi Guys. Is it ridiculously hot where you are? I am sorry for going
straight to the weather, but its really I can think about these days! I
love summer, but it has been in the high 90s and has even broken 100
multiple days for two weeks straight now, and there's no sign of it letting up. Last summer I lived in the
basement room in a house so it remained cool, but this summer, I live on
the top floor of a different house. I absolutely love my house and my
room, it is bright and full of sunshine, but is also like a greenhouse
and we do not have air conditioning. So, that is my excuse for the lack
of outfit posts! It is too hot to be outside for too long, and I am not
wearing anything very special, as coolness and comfort are key! Here
is what I have been loving: iced lattes, an icy cold beer, froyo froyo
froyo, and re-watching lost with R in his air conditioned basement.
Yup, that pretty much sums up life lately!

iced coffee on a hot sunny saturday in Boulder // an awesome Maplteon hill front porch // earth tones and cute sandals my mom sent me // bow earrings from Romwe // polka dot shirt available in the shop // pretty scalloped shingles // froyo froyo and more froyo // deliciously fresh tacos from a new taco place
You can follow me on instagram @braidedbandit
So, what are your favorite ways to beat the heat? I would love to know!
