Americana Whites

Hi guys! Can I just say it's going to be such a relief when this week is over.  Though a lot of the stuff I've got going on is good stuff, there's so many little extras going on this week its throwing me for a loop.  It's also been oddly dreary for Colorado this week, except for the day I shot these photos last Friday where it was so bright I look like I'm scowling in almost every shot!

As I've mentioned before, one of the most exciting (and stressful) things I have coming up is selling at my first market this weekend in Boulder!  If you're local, you should definitely stop by and say hello!  It's right in Boulder's "central park" on 13th and canyon and I'll be there SUNDAY from 11-5! Weekend Whites

Just a super casual outfit I wore hanging out this weekend. This dress may or may not now be covered in the bright yellow kraft mac n cheese I ate while wearing it.  So it goes while wearing all white.

Two things R loves are sneakers and baseball hats.  Now that we share a closet in our new place, seeing his hat collection every day has started to give me mild envy, so I decided to get a few cute ones for myself during a big sale swell was having.  Forty percent off of items already on sale? Yes please.  I roped R and a few other friends into buying mass quantities of things too.  Sorry not sorry!

Anyway this striped hat by RVCA is a new favorite. The bill has a pretty hawaiian print and its super comfy too.  I love how throwing a baseball hat on with a dress gives an outfit an instant low key vibe. BBQs, frisbees, cocktails on the patio, and eating all meals outside - here I come!

A Summer Uniform

    As a style blogger who likes to express herself through what she wears, I am not a huge fan of wearing any sort of "uniform".  The word itself means "the same throughout", and where is the fun and creativity in that?!  That said, if I were made to wear one thing, and one thing only, for the entire summer, I definitely would not hesitate to choose to wear a comfortable white sundress with a colorful pair of shoes, and this outfit totally fits the bill.  So here you have it: the summer uniform!

   I finally got the pair of Inkkas shoes I have been lusting over for months, and you can bet they will be a regular part of my summer ensembles.  With the bright mango color and the intricate tribal print, I pretty much cannot be in a bad mood while wearing them, which I think these pictures are proof of!  If you remember when I first posted about the company here, they are both environmentally and socially conscious, so I tried to keep the rest of my outfit "green" as well with a thrifted dress, jacket and purse.  I chose the vintage map purse as a nod to the shoes being handmade in Peru and the spirit of travel and adventure.  The necklace was a gift from the lovely Amanda over at Salvaged Strawberry!
     Anyway, there are some big and exciting things looming on the horizon for me, and I cannot wait to share more with you guys soon.  Let's just say if you have any extra luck floating around, I would appreciate if you would send it in my direction! Have a wonderful start to your week!
