Makeover Monday: Tropical Peach

It's been awhile since I've done a makeover monday post! With summer quick approaching, I have been doing alterations to a ton of vintage sets for the shop, which are my favorite!  This set started out as capris with little jeweled dangles on the leg and a normal length blouse.  I went ahead and made it into shorts and a crop top instead, and while I was going to originally add my signature pom pom trim, I thought this set was cute enough alone without it!

Anyway, we finally had a beautiful hot and sunny weekend here.  We didn't really do anything special, but spent lots of time outside in the yard, which was perfect!  Hope you guys had a good one too!

Alley Cat Gingham

Took this vintage set from the shop for a twirl last week in the five seconds that it hasn't been raining lately. These were taken in the alley outside of the little art studio we were renting, and I of course was approached by a kitty while taking them because of my extreme(ly creepy) cat whispering skills.

We are finally back in our house and they are finishing up the construction today!  Our house feels like some sort of mansion after living in a tiny studio with R and Lilikoi for the week, and its just nice to have our own stuff again. Like a couch. And floors in our house.  And especially, a coffee maker.

Violet Jungle

Oh Monday.  So far today I have written a to-do list a mile long, went to do my kitty volunteer feeding, and then locked myself out of my car in a Walgreens parking lot, which was certainly not part of the to-do list.

As you can see, my hair has turned mint green as it fades out.  Sometimes I love it and sometimes I feel like I just stayed in the swimming pool too long, like the chlorine-soaked summers of childhood. This awesome vintage jungle print set will be listed in the shop this week, and the necklace that I am wearing is actually part of the brand new section of The Braided Bandit that launches on Wednesday!  It will also come in neon pink, orange, yellow, and green versions as well! Here's a little sneak peak of the rest of them!
